Deborah Jackson has dedicated more than 25 years of work to those in need. As the CEO of the American Red Cross of Massachusetts Bay, she was awarded the Pinnacle Award for Non-Profit Leadership; won the Women’s Business Hall of Fame Award and was considered by Boston Magazine as one of the area’s 100 Most Influential Woman.
In an interview with Color Magazine this month, she reveals her close relationship with her family and how her parent’s involvement with their community inspired her to choose a philanthropic career. Moreover, she exposed her passion for her work and how her daily routine at the Red Cross motivates her professionally and personally. “I don’t have to do much to be reminded of why I keep working as hard as I do – because I love it. It is rewarding to me personally, and it really matters on the frontline”.
